Frequently asked questions

When should I see a doctor for back or leg pain?

If pain shoots into the leg—or follows a crash or heavy lift—get a same-day evaluation. Red flags (weakness, fever, bladder/bowel issues) require urgent care. See Lower-Back Pain and Sciatica, then request an evaluation.

After an injury, who should I see first?

A board-certified spine/pain specialist. We perform a focused exam, review MRI/X-rays, and begin evidence-based care. See PT & Rehab and our Back & Sciatic hub.

Why does early treatment matter?

Earlier diagnosis shortens recovery, limits scar tissue and nerve irritation, and reduces long-term disability. Explore PT & Rehab, Epidural Injections, and Facet/Medial-Branch + RF

How quickly can I be seen?

Same-day or next-day across seven DFW locations. Start on the Back & Sciatic hub or call 214-441-7962

Do you have imaging on-site?

We don’t run MRI/CT in-house. Bring prior studies—we review them and order imaging when needed. For procedures we use on-site fluoroscopy. See Epidural and Facet/RF.

What happens at my first visit—what should I bring?

Focused exam, imaging review, medication history, and a non-opioid-first plan. Bring discs/reports, med list, and ID/insurance. See Non-Surgical Therapies and Lower-Back Pain.
